Acts as a liaison between the business, Vendor(s), and IT personnel to support the unit’s technology needs; represent user area in all system enhancements and design activities. Review user requests, conducts data gathering interviews, documents business specifications, and manages technology projects until completion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Under minimal supervision, oversees medium to large technology projects and/or phases of project of larger scope.  Serves as a liaison between the business, Vendor(s), and the IT area, translating business needs into application software requirements.Determines specific business application software requirements to address and resolve varied business and/or operational needs.
  • Review user requests, conducts data gathering interviews, documents business specifications, and manages technology projects until completion.
  • Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met.
  • Manages critical relationships with Operations, partnering organizations, Vendor(s), and IT teams.
  • May oversee projects that include various phases and small to moderately sized project teams.
  • Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Runs project meetings and provides updates to business leadership and impacted stakeholders regarding project status. 
  • Provides information and/or training to end users to help resolve problems regarding assigned system(s).
  • May act as project leader and provides guidance to lower level staff.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • 5-6 years of Technical Liaison experience
  • Proven track record executing deliverables through vendor management.
  • Demonstrated technical and functional expertise that proactively resolved issues to meet the needs of external and internal customers.
  • Thorough knowledge of supported business functions, workflow, systems and transactions.  
  • Demonstrated understanding of system design processes, project and program management and methodologies, and testing tools.
  • Coordination requirements with IT; conducting testing for enhancements/releases.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written); strong Time Management and organization skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technology tools.  



  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
