The Role: As a Senior Banking Consultant of the MetLife Corporate Treasury team you will be responsible for providing an improved client experience, creating process efficiencies and reducing costs while strengthening MetLife’s competitive advantage through innovative payment and bank solutions.

 

  • Key Stakeholders: Various Lines of Business including (MetLife Investment Management (MIM), RIS, Group Benefits), POAP, Global Relationship Management (GRM), Corporate Planning & Projections, Cash Reconciliation, MetLife Banking partners

 

Key Responsibilities:

Global Banking Services (GBS) support including:

  1. Bank Account Administration - Point of contact for all business requests for new bank accounts including rationalization for new accounts; support Service Now workflow for new account requests; prepare all bank documentation and coordinate account activation and services with banking partners.
  2. Support bank account service amendments and account closures.
  3. Manage Bank Account Repository within Kyriba by ensuring all bank account activitations, closures and service amendments are updated accurately and timely.
  4. Regulatory Compliance - Coordinate annual FBAR Reporting (Foreign Bank Account Reporting) for US Tax Regulations
  5. Annual Global Bank Account Attestation – ensure completeness of MetLife’s global bank account inventory

 

Bank Fee Analysis & Reporting support including:

  1. Leverage economies of scale to benefit each business unit by performing global benchmarking across banks and services.
  2. Review price proforma to sent prices. 
  3. Review bank fees at a service level - review QOQ increases/decreases for reasonableness
  4. Confirm bank account inventory (bank accounts billed to Kyriba).
  5. Recalculate ECR and reconcile differences with bank. 
  6. Review bank fees at a service level - review QOQ increases/decreases for reasonableness
  7. Perform volume authentication review for reasonabless (checks, wires, etc).
  8. Bank Fee Chargebacks - Prepare bank fee chargeback journal entries.  Submit journal entries in PS.  Identify other opportunities for bank fee chargebacks.  Serve as point of contact for LOB questions on bank fee chargebacks.
  9. Bank Fee Accruals - Calculate quarterly bank fee accrual based on actual and forecasted amounts.  Prepared bank accrual journal entries.  Submit/approve journal entries in PS.
  10. GRM Global Bank Relationship reporting – coordinate bank fee reporting globally for semi-annual submission to GRM

 

 

Candidate Qualifications:

   Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 5-10 years of experience within Banking or Treasury Operations
  • Undergraduate degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
