Role Value Proposition: 

Responsible for payment application, daily reconcilation, and reporting of ledger activity in support of Safeguard group customers.


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Receives and processes complex payments.
  • Inputs various forms of payments into the billing systems and ensures accurate application of premium in a timely manner.
  • Reviews billing history and makes determination, within authorized limits and procedures, to credit , apply, suspend or refund premium.  Contacts billing team to clarify issues on complex or referred cases and takes appropriate action based on research.
  • Handles special or elevated exception cases and/or referrals of an unusual or sensitive nature.
  • Researches and resolves complex reconciliation, banking, billing, collection or payment issues.
  • Reconciles daily transactions and report discrepancies. 


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Working knowledge of remittance/billing processing
  • Detail-oriented with basic math skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment
  • 2-4 years of business experience
  • High School Diploma 



  • Microsoft Office suite proficient, especially Excel
