You will evaluate these administrative processes to ensure all necessary documentation is received in good order.  Will act as the subject matter expert for operational and service request for internal team and large -scale enterprise projects for small market. This role reflects the willingness and freedom to create innovative solutions to across core business challenges within MetLife. 

    

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Obtains complete documentation for both new business and inforce customer inquiries. Reviews request for accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines and state regulations. Retrieves any missing data from the Broker and/or Sales Representative.
  • Provides deliverables Broker, Sales Representative, or client such as confirmation letter/email, Certificates, Policy Amendments, bills, in a professional and market ready manner.
  • Updates all applicable systems accurately and timely for all transactions across both core/vb products.
  • Educates internal and external parties on end to end administrative process for small market clients. Achieves metrics that have been established for the department by management for completion of any systematic work.
  • Serves as a learning partner to less experienced team members and partners.
  • Actively participates in identifying and resolving system and processing defects and brings to the attention of the Team Lead(s)/Manager.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvements to avoid processing problems.
  • Proactively maintains knowledge on key functional process and administrative systems.
  • Provides aid as needed for both on & offshore associates.
  • Experience leveraging business acumen for long-lasting client relationships and results
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
  • Ensure appropriate resolution of client issues by engaging relevant internal stakeholders and delivering recovery plans where appropriate and in a time sensitive manner.

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Typically has a BS/BA degree or relevant years of industry experience
  • Small and Regional Market Knowledge (at least 1- 3 years)
  • Ability to make decisions independently, requiring minimal supervision. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, well organized and flexible with a sense of urgency approach.
  • Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to find creative and innovative solutions to business problems.
  • Self-motivated to learn more about the business and is proactive in personal development
  • Competencies: Producing results, decision making& critical thinking, service excellence, managing multiple priorities, influencing, relationship management, operational functions, and e-business 


 

Preferred Experience

 

  • Experience in insurance/financial systems
  • Experience with digital/online customer service
  • Experience with external clients
  • Prior work experience with large scale company
