Role Value Proposition:

Primary responsibility is to manage a team of UIS Eligibility Business Analysts who are responsible for both installing and maintaining Eligibility files for all market segments.  Responsible for the management and prioritization of all incoming and existing Customer installs and Customer maintenance requests, supporting specific customer requests and overall processing rules as well as training activities across all products.  Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, and milestones to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met. Additionally, this role will be responsible for supporting Eligibility related projects and various Quality initiatives across the team.   

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the efforts of a team of UIS Eligibility BA’s to oversee new customer file implementations as well as customer maintenance requests
  • Lead and coach associates to ensure all operational metrics, inventory management, reporting and quality requirements are met.
  • Manages case assignments and overall workflow management for all regions.
  • People management responsibilities include executing the performance and development process, planning compensation and delivering training as necessary. 
  • Provide leadership and development to the associates while partnering with the Service and Sales organizations to provide support for our customers.
  • Participates in/leads special projects within the Eligibility team including those related to internally driven initiatives, as well as partner projects led by other teams within MetLife

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • High school diploma
  • 5+ years of related work experience in supporting eligibility file processing in a mainframe environment in the Insurance industry is a strong plus (required)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of, or ability to possess knowledge of, the organization's operations, products and services
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coach, motivate and drive results
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify improvement opportunities, evaluate options and develop solutions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills – including ability to prioritize effectively



  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills- verbal and written, including ability to communicate expectations clearly, deliver messages effectively and develop communications skills in others
  • Outstanding customer service skills including ability to translate and deliver on customer needs
  • Excellent relationship management, partnership and influencing skills
