Summary: Perform core processing and administrative functions including day to day client services and administrative support to customers and responding to client requests. Perform significant financial transactions in an accurate and timely manner, process individual and corporate account transactions, and prepare reports for internal and external customers. Maintains data integrity, facilitates cash flow transactions of Separate Accounts, and provides reporting services on account activity. Provides relationship and account management services to key clients and National Accounts.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Day-to-day support for at least one client and monitors key financial parameters. Participates in completing accounting processes, calculations and reports. Provide day to day administration for clients. Participates in new client implementation. Contributes to building relationships with clients or distribution channels

 

Skills and Competencies: Strong oral/written communication skills. Strong problem solving and analysis. Strong multi-tasking and prioritization. Basic knowledge of group products, services and systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

•    Working independently, perform complex tasks around core processing and administrative functions of the business unit 
•    Exercise judgment and product understanding to determine appropriate handling of complex issues around core business functions of the unit and to resolve customer questions and escalations
•    Act as a subject matter expert to both team members and internal customers 
•    Review financial impacted transactions for accuracy to eliminate risk 
•    Perform high-value financial transactions in a consistently accurate and timely fashion 
•    Maintain high standards of accuracy and data integrity
•    Utilize experience, initiative and judgment to analyze and resolve discrepancies and issues, and resolve internal and external customer escalations that impact the unit on a high-priority basis 
•    Establish and maintain a positive and professional relationship with internal and external clients, customers and business partners
•    Respond to external and internal requests for information, including audits and Call Center requests
•    If assigned approval responsibility, review and approve transactions processed by other team members
•    Serve as point of contact for clients, third party administrators and/or external customers
•    Execute special projects assigned by management within the allotted time frame
•    Propose, evaluate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
•    Perform other duties as assigned or required 
 

Required Experience: 
•    4-year college degree or equivalent experience 
•    3-5 years of related experience 
•    Strong oral and written communication skills 
•    Extensive knowledge of office support tools, core application systems 
•    Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and decision making skills. 
•    Effective time management skills – balance multiple priorities 
•    Strong interpersonal skills and customer interaction skills 
•    Knowledge of Annuity & Investment Operations 

 

Preferred Experience:  
•    FINRA Series 6 or 26 Licensed where required. 
•    Proficient Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Access.
•    Strong oral and written communication skills.
•    Effective time management skills.
•    Superior problem solving and critical thinking skills.
