Role Value Proposition: 

As part of the Investments IT organization, this position will play a critical role in the coordination and oversight of key activities for infrastructure related projects within the organization.  We are looking for an experienced project leader with expertise in organizing cross-functional initiatives.  This is a dynamic, exciting role with an opportunity to collaborate globally with a multitude of teams and technologies.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Coordination of project activities required to support infrastructure initiatives impacting Investment IT application teams
  • Facilitation of project review meetings with Investment IT leads and updates to management regarding project statuses
  • Collaborate with Investment IT teams and vendor to define, submit and track infrastructure procurement and build requests
  • Coordinate server upgrade and consolidation projects, systems performance management and maintenance activities, and disaster recovery testing
  • Define, implement, and document process improvement projects and evaluate new/emerging technologies/tools for possible use within IT

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 3+ years of infrastructure management, operations, systems administration or systems engineering
  • Ability to project manage a wide variety of Cloud engineering projects, and multi-task in a challenging, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • High level of analytical problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills – written, verbal and presentation; interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Technologies (.NET, SQL Server, Web Services, SSIS/SSRS, TFS)
  • Intermediate level knowledge of application infrastructure, networking concepts, and cloud technologies
  • Ability to manage rapidly shifting priorities and workloads
  • Understanding of inter-operational relationships of various infrastructure components of an IT infrastructure including but not limited to server systems, storage technology, network technology, information security and operational knowledge of application tools

 

Preferred:

  • Knowledge/Experience with networking, firewalls, Active Directory, FTP, TWS
  • Bachelor’s degree nice to have, related field added bonus; PMP or similar
  • Knowledge of computing platforms like HPC, Microsoft Azure and MongoDB or similar
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) as well as software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Exposure to enterprise database technology (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global environment with matrix organizational management
