Role Value Proposition
The Associate will be responsible for intercompany and fixed asset accounting and reporting related tasks for MetLife Inc. and its subsidiaries. This role will also be handling the GAAP and STAT quarterly and yearly reporting requirements. This position rolls up under the Expense Center of Excellence. Along with the accounting and reporting function, this role will need to approve intercompany wires and handle adhoc requests.
Key Responsibilities
GAAP and STAT reporting related to Intercompany and Fixed Asset transactions.
Trouble shooting issues with Asset Management system and ledger
Processing and some oversight into Asset Management system
Intercompany and Fixed Asset accounting and monitoring of eliminations
Wire approval and settlement
Monthly account reconciliation
GOSC coordination
Prefunding of MetLife payroll
Ad-hoc reporting and tasks as requested
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in accounting or reporting.
- Strong Excel skills
- Ability to work across cross functional teams effectively
- Strong knowledge of People Soft and CUBUS

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) in Accounting or Finance or related field
