Compliance Risk Management (“CRM”) delivers a compliance risk framework that enables the businesses and functions to comply with applicable internal and external rules and regulations and maintain risk levels within MetLife’s risk appetite. CRM provides constructive challenge to the businesses and functions, partnering closely with them to implement strong processes and effective controls, as well as to foster and embed a culture of compliance. CRM is part of Global Risk Management (GRM).
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Head of Compliance Governance Frameworks, the Compliance Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the enterprise Regulatory Change Management and Policy Governance programs. The role entails supporting the compliance teams with compliance risk management efforts globally.
This is an individual contributor role that requires an effective communicator and a proactive and process-oriented thinker who can support large scale enterprise-wide efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and ongoing implementation of the global Regulatory Change Management (RCM) Program; manage program Teams site and distribution of program communications; coordinate logistics including oversight of RCM procedures, system training and onboarding, and reporting; report on program implementation progress.
- Support the development and ongoing implementation of the global policy governance program by maintaining a current CRM policy inventory and supporting CRM policy authors in executing their responsibilities including annual policy reviews and vetting protocols for new/changed policies.
- Partner with colleagues across lines of business and corporate functions to support the enterprise Policy Governance Committee by managing the pipeline of policies being submitted to the committee for review and approval.
- Support the Compliance Governance Frameworks team by tracking team progress against key priorities and deliverables, identifying and tracking milestones, due dates, and owners.
- Communicate on behalf of Governance Frameworks team with regional Compliance Governance Leads to coordinate program execution globally, maintaining alignment with regional and country compliance officers.
- Manage special Enterprise Compliance Program projects as needed, coordinating with global stakeholders, tracking deliverables, and providing reporting to senior leadership.
- Demonstrate creative thinking and executional excellence that will include actively seeking out ways to simplify and strengthen the global governance programs and related processes and building efficiency.
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset and propose enhancements to the compliance risk management framework, leveraging data and technology, informed by industry standards and best practices.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture that embraces change and succeeds through both collaboration and individual accountability.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:

- Proficiency in creating communication materials, presentations, and reports.
- Proficient in project management
- Knowledge of learning, collaboration, social media, and/or survey tools and technology
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Knowledge of financial services a plus
