Role Value Proposition: 

The Business Solutions Consultant (BSC) is responsible for supporting and communicating Regional Market Service processes. The Business Solutions Consultant develops, recommends, and implements new or modified processes, procedures, and initiatives. The position is aligned with our Regional Market customer facing associates and has partnerships with the Service Learning Consultants, Market Enablement and other respective partner organizations. The BSC is responsible for staying abreast of products and business procedures related to the roles they support. As Regional Market evolves, so will the responsibilities of this role. A successful candidate thrives on change and is eager to support and add value to the Regional Market organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Product liaison for Group Benefits Core and Voluntary products
  • Creates communications related to business processes and system/product updates to send to the RM organization
  • Under minimal supervision, engages in small to medium projects that span across multiple areas to implement new/modified processes
  • Monitors the progress of initiatives and milestones to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met, while keeping management informed of progress
  • Develops and nurtures key relationships with internal partners
  • Appropriately alerts management to business opportunities and issues and develops formal recommendations for resolution
  • Provides information and/or training to end users to help resolve inquiries related to assigned processes, procedures, and/or initiatives
  • Other ad hoc projects, as needed
  • Ensuring business tools and resources (e.g., Knowledge Center content) are accurate and updated
  • Supporting operational readiness activities for product / process changes and other deployments
  • Working closely with Service Learning Consultants and the Market Enablement team to assist with training and ensure training programs remain current and relevant

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

Required:

  • Ability to pivot quickly and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, while staying on track with multiple initiatives with competing demands
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Solid project management and change management skills
  • Self-motivated and analytical thinker who takes accountability and collaborates with team members, partners, and senior leadership to resolve problems and identify creative customer-centric solutions that benefit all parties
  • Good attention to detail and listening skills, anticipating, and understanding the downstream impact and ensuring high quality results
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and the ability to work with minimal oversight
  • Intermediate skill competency in MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

 

 Preferred:

  • 5-7 years of related work experience; thorough working knowledge of supported business functions, systems, processes, and procedures
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
