Job Summary:


Responsible for daily administration and policy support for Group Billing and Remittance.  Processes transactions timely and maintains accurate policy records including eligibility data


Functional Responsibilities: 

  • Advanced level subject matter expert who exercises discretion and independent judgment in the work completed
  • Maintains data in the administrative systems; troubleshoots and corrects data issues.  Works various transaction error reports and queues.
  • Provides technical expertise to management for decision making by participating in operational analyses and studies.
  • Acts as subject matter expert on individual contract provisions; establishes, maintains, and enhances favorable relationships with internal and external customers, plan participants, beneficiaries, attorneys, etc.
  • Handles escalated calls/cases from other teams.  Has authority to deviate from standard procedures and can make independent decisions without supervisor approval. 
  • Participate on customer calls/meetings to explain process/procedures and resolve issues.
  • Calculates/Reviews credit and fee payments to Regional Market customers following established guidelines/processes.
  •  Performs other related duties as assigned or required.


Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:


  • Maintains extensive knowledge of the administrative systems, UIS and CDF.  Requires knowledge of eligibility and enrollment processes and advanced Excel skills
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service and relationship skills with ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.  Ability to handle pressure situations (internal and external) with professionalism and tack.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
  • College degree or 3-5 years related business experience preferred.
