The position will be part of the Asset Liability Management team covers the ALM risk of all MetLife operations outside US and Japan. The associate filling this position will provide support for and analyses of asset and liability projections for both routine and ad-hoc assignments.


Principal Responsibilities:


  • Provide modeling support and prepare actuarial memoranda (filing to state of Delaware) for ALICO annual CFT/AAT for 8 Middle East branches.
  • Provide modeling support for annual US GAAP Loss Recognition Testing  for Middle East countries
  • Provide modeling support for quarterly Embedded Value VNB, Economic Capital, and ALM calculations for Middle East countries.
  • Assist in maintaining, testing, updating and documenting asset liability models.
  • Support enterprise actuarial models migration efforts.
  • Communicate results to business partners and stakeholders.




  • Near-ASA or ASA with minimum 3 years actuarial experience
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or related field;
  • Excellent organizational, mathematical, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to collaborate within the group and with other business units
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Access
  • Actuarial model software experience (Prophet, MG-Alfa, etc.)




    The position is located in St. Louis, MO.  It reports to Junyi Wang. 


Typical Experience: Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics or actuarial science. Committed to completing the Society of Actuaries' education system courses necessary to attain FSA designation; obtained ASA designation except, possibly, attendance at the Associateship Professional Course.
