As a MLR Senior Account Executive, you’ll play a critical role in supporting MetLife Holdings’ retention and growth. This team provides service solutions to U.S.–based employers in the non-profit & government defined contribution marketplace. With over 13,000 plan sponsor customers and 350,000 plan participants, MLR generates approximately $350 million in premiums and $75 million in pre-tax earnings.


You’ll be partnered with a Regional Managing Consultant and designated a geographic region. Collaboratively, you will work closely with plan sponsors and assigned third-party financial service representatives to establish and strengthen relationships—increasing retention and driving ongoing enrollment within plans.


Key Responsibilities:  

  • Engage with plan sponsors within a defined territory and provide service and solutions that improve the customer service experience
  • Develop relationships and increase plan sponsor satisfaction with the defined contribution program
  • Develop strong working relationships with third party financial service representatives servicing the plans
  • Inform plan sponsors on regulatory changes and administrative enhancements
  • Prepare and present program reviews to human resource professionals and executives
  • Collaborate with colleagues and record keeping partners on enrollment initiatives, client service initiatives, and communications


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • 5+ years of experience in defined contribution sales or service, preferably in the NonERISA market.
  • Strong qualified plan background with ability to solve complex regulatory and recordkeeping issues
  • Valid FINRA Series 6 License, or the ability to obtain within three months of hire
  • Valid Life licensing (in certain states), or the ability to obtain within three months of hire
  • Stellar customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills including ability to interact with clients at both the administrative and executive level
  • Finely tuned listening skills, complemented by a masterful talent for solving problems



  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
