This role will review, research, and investi gate pended General Electric (GE) Group Life claim submissions withmulti ple coverages and complexity to determine if the claim is payable in accordance with all GE policy provisions. Ifpayable, determine eligible payee(s) and payment amount(s). If not payable, develop detailed lett er of explanati onbased on said policy provisions and claim documents. Provides customer service with empathy and pati ence onincoming and outgoing phone inquiries and provides guidance on life claim processes. In additi on, this role willresearch, determine and calculate benefi ts and amounts for vested pension and reti rement savings benefi ts inaccordance with all GE policy provisions. Provide appropriate paperwork to be completed based on eligibility forvested benefi ts. Submit for payment of benefi ts upon receipt and review of required documents.
This role will sit on-site with our customer.
Key Responsibilities:

   Virtual roles predominately work from a home office with periodic visits to the assigned GCSO office as needed for team events, meetings, training, business continuity, etc
Identify and obtain missing informati on required to evaluate GE Group life claims and input informati on into aWindows based computer system (BIOS).
Interpret GE policy provisions and manually adjudicate GE Group Life claims to make claim determinati ons.
Manage and organize work to meet multi ple deadlines and competi ng prioriti es to ensure departmentturnaround and customer sati sfacti on are met.
Maintain producti on and quality standards.
Uti lize multi ple systems for claim determinati on.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
High School Diploma or GED
2-4 years of experience in claims or customer service.
Strong data entry skills required.
Shares informati on and engages in candid and open dialogue. Expresses self well in conversati ons and viawritt en documents.
Outstanding customer service and communicati on skills both writt en and verbal
College degree or relevant job experience desirable.
Critical thinking in acti viti es requiring analysis, problem solving, investi gati on, and/or planning.
Projects an atti tude of service, empathy, and pati ence to all customers.
Ability to deal with people in stressful situati ons.
Ability to work periodic overti me when required.
PC knowledge required. (Microsoft Word and Excel)
