Internal Audit Resource Supervisor

The Internal Audit Resource Supervisor reports to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) within Global Audit Operations (GAO), supporting the AVP and the Vice President (VP) of GAO in all aspects of resource planning and scheduling solutions for the Internal Audit Department.  In addition, in accordance with the operating model of GAO, the incumbent will also participate in other GAO activities as appropriate, including methodology, training, and enablement of designed solutions.


This position includes significant involvement (~50% of time) with the Prosymmetry Tempus resource management system, including thought leadership with usage of the system and collaborating with other GAO stakeholders and audit department end-users to design, build, test, and deploy processes leveraging Tempus. Additionally, this position works with IBM OpenPages and Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, and other Microsoft apps, to ensure data flows and reporting deliverables are captured and presented based on business and end-user needs. The remainder of the time is distributed between the (i) strategic/tactical development of the planning and resource management processes/methodology, (ii) coordination and execution of planning and resource management processes, including managing related communications, WebEx meetings, and presentations, and (iii) assist in centralization of current planning and resourcing model for the department.


Key Responsibilities:  

Resource Management

  • Continue build out and support resource scheduling process (currently decentralized process) and train/support global department to effectively plan resources.
  • Influence and partner with key stakeholders and end users to understand diverse team perspectives and needs, to find a fit for purpose solution for any obstacles or conflicts that may arise in the scheduling process.
  • Regularly collect and analyze data to confirm if current guardrails are relevant and feasible, including making recommendations for improvements where needed.
  • Assist in building a central resource scheduling team and staffing model for pooling of resources, leveraging Tempus, to be piloted in the US. Pooled resourcing model includes intake, training and development, on-the-job experiences, and career progression/competency mapping.
  • Assist in design of tool-based global workforce planning process, leveraging Tempus, to move from current Excel based process. This is used to determine and monitor future workforce demands for the department.
  • May provide coaching and guidance to junior staff supporting scheduling processes.


Quarterly Planning

  • Execute and coordinate quarterly planning process, including review and challenge of plans submitted for quality and application of guardrails.
  • Build, update, and deliver related methodology and process documentation to guide department on execution of planning. Deliver related training sessions to global department.
  • Assist with system upgrade efforts. This includes, but is not limited to, fully understanding system capabilities, user-interface design, workflow design/improvements, leading SME meetings, and assisting with training for all auditors globally.
  • Coordinate design and deployment of Planning Dashboard in Power BI to meet needs of all stakeholders.
  • Constantly seek and assess feedback from stakeholders and consider ways to make our tools more user-friendly and efficient.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • 3+ years of resource or staff management, including demand planning and scheduling, pooled resource concepts and execution, and competency development
  • Ability to translate technical information for an executive audience and show executive presence in presentations
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel
  • Strong analytical, deductive, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills



  • Internal/External Audit experience
  • Undergraduate degree is required, preference for Business, Finance, or Human Resource Management
  • Knowledge of Tempus, or other resource management tools, IBM OpenPages, and Microsoft Power BI
