Role Value Proposition: 

The People Analytics Consultant will partner with HR COEs including Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and Diversity Equity & Inclusion to build strong relationships and gain deep understanding of the clients’ strategic direction. They will combine this knowledge with analytics subject matter expertise to provide high quality analyses which support evidenced based decision making.  They will leverage knowledge of HR and business acumen to understand the HR levers that enable business strategy and develop analytics to support evidenced based decision making.  They will utilize strong consulting & research skills, conduct high level, complex analyses, and tell a compelling story while being highly influential with data.  They will be accountable for development and execution of analytics as well as relationip management with global HR COEs and business leaders at all levels, including senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct people analytics projects, identifying meaningful insights to proactively share with leadership.

  • Effectively tell a story with data and analytics; be highly skilled at developing executive level presentations and communications for senior management.

  • Interpret business strategy and related issues, possessing the foresight to determine analytic solutions and proactively provide data-based insights.

  • Partner with clients to develop hypotheses and prepare methodologies to conduct the measurement of relevant human capital metrics.

  • Research best practices and maintain awareness of trends and developments within the analytics discipline.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Ability to conduct highly complex analyses and to incorporate data from multiple sources to identify insights and trends. Must be able to tell a compelling story with data.

  • Strong consulting, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills. Must have strong business acumen, with ability to quickly understand clients’ business and ask questions to get to core issues. Imperative to be client-centric.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to create presentations appropriate for executive management and non-analytical audiences.

  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Naturally curious and eager to assume responsibility and demonstrate initiative.

  • Detail oriented and strives for continuous process improvement.

  • Advanced MS Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word is required.

  • Global role with expectation to conduct meetings outside of normal business hours when necessary.



  • Prior roles in People Analytics preferred, but not required.

  • Solid understanding of HR principles, techniques, and procedures, as well as how HR supports business implications.

  • Statistics expertise a plus but not required.

The wage range for this position specific to Colorado is $85,700.00 - $114,300.00.  The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the MetLife Annual Variable Incentive Plan ("AVIP").  Your eligibility for and award of incentives are governed by the terms of the plan.
