Role Value Proposition

The People Analytics & Workforce Planning Lead Consultant will work closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders to provide insights driven by analytical thinking and subject matter expertise with workforce data. The Consultant will seek to influence talent actions by effectively telling stories with data and analytics, leading to better outcomes for the business and for employees.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Strong subject matter expertise in data and analytical skills, with the ability to use data from multiple sources to tell compelling stories and be influential. Must be able to pull insights from data and communicate them in a meaningful way.
  • Must be able to leverage knowledge of HR and business acumen to understand the HR levers that enable business strategy and develop analytics to support evidenced based decision making
  • Must be able to discuss business strategy and talent requirements, and perform a gap analysis based on current supply of, and demand for workers and skills needed to achieve the business strategy
  • Accountable for development and execution of analytics and strategic workforce planning, as well as relationship management with global HR Business Partners and business leaders at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Must have strong consulting skills with the ability to conduct high level, complex analyses. Must be able to tell a compelling story and be influential with data

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills


  • Ability to conduct highly complex analyses and to incorporate data from multiple sources to identify insights and trends. Must be able to tell a compelling story with data.
  • Strong consulting, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills. Must have strong business acumen, with ability to quickly understand clients’ business and ask questions to get to core issues. Imperative to be client-centric.
  • Solid understanding of HR principles, techniques and procedures, as well as how HR supports business implications.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to create presentations appropriate for executive management and non-analytical audiences.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills. Naturally curious and eager to assume responsibility and demonstrate initiative.
  • Statistics expertise a plus but not required.
  • Global role with expectation to conduct meetings outside of normal business hours when necessary



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience

The wage range for applicants for this position is $93,700 - $157,900. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
