Role Value Proposition:

In this role you The Health & Wellness Advocate (HWA) will specialize in proactive, compassionate telephonic outreach to claimants during a short-term disability leave

 

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Continuous awareness and knowledge of all the pertinent ancillary wellness and health programs Novartis offers
  • Evaluate STD claims and work with claimants by coordinating with wellness vendors (health insurers) to ensure claimants understand current offerings and increase utilization of these said programs
  • Liaison for all escalated claims by performing the following but not limited to; assistance in obtaining medical records, conduit to the Account Team and Claims Team, partners with claims to ensure operational /process efficiencies
  • Foster, grow and maintain relationships with all health and wellness vendors including but not limited to, developing action plans to address and promote employee utilization
  • Coordination of monthly touch point calls with wellness vendors to discuss referral outcomes
  • Weekly calls with Account Team to discuss activity, escalations etc.

 

 Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse with unrestricted, active license
  • Minimum 1-year experience with Behavioral Health 

Preferred:

  • Strong telephone and interpersonal skills as it relates to conveying and managing a message, fostering relationships and influencing
  • Knowledge of MS Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Background in health insurance/ corporate wellness knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Self-Motivated
