This role will direct, plans, organizes, and will control activities of the Clinical department to ensure its effective, efficient and profitable operation within the disability income insurance organization. Manages all aspects of customer service, acts as change agent and an advocate for team building


Duties and key responsibilities:  

  • Determines training needs and best method for addressing them.
  • May deliver training.
  • Directs, plans, and controls overall activities to ensure effective, efficient, and profitable operations, reviews and assesses second level rebuttals to conclusion, and participates in clinical/claims meetings when necessary.
  • Assists and compiles monthly, quarterly, and annual data and analysis and identifies trends for consideration.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • Extensive knowledge of medical conditions, symptoms and terminology.
  • Proficient knowledge of computer systems.
  • Extensive skills with written and verbal communication
  • Extensive skills with relationship building and management
  • Certifications- RN, CRC or equivalent certification



  • 3+ years of Supervisory Experience
  • 7+ years of Clinical Experience
