Global Ops includes over 11,200 associates across all of MetLife’s markets who are responsible for core insurance capabilities, including new business and underwriting, claims, policy administration, contact centers, and billing/remittance. In this role you will investigates life insurance claims and makes determination on claims settlement within authorized guidelines

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Examines and processes claims; determines whether to return, put on pending, deny, or pay claim.
  • Follows established claim policies and practices to resolve claims and issues.
  • Refers questionable and non-routine claims to senior staff members.
  •  Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required

  • High school diploma
  • Strong data entry skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands, and shifting priorities.
  • Consistently demonstrates the MetLife values. 

 

Preferred

  • 1-2 years insurance claims experience desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of OFEGLI/Group Life claims desirable
  • Plans and organizes time and priorities to achieve business results. 
  • Uses business knowledge to make the best decisions for MetLife and its customers.
  • Associates Degree
