Position Summary:
The Configurator is a key role that supports end to end automation of a business process using Robotic Process Automation software (Blue Prism).
The primary role of the Configurator will be to design and build the robot configuration basis requirements captured from the business, testing the solution, creating relevant technical documentation and securing sign-offs on the same, in line with the organization’s design standards. The Configurator’s role includes & is not limited to working with stakeholders for requirement gathering, solution development, testing and sign-off, as well as running the robot in different environments, as required.
The Configurator will be the single point of contact for technical development related queries, as well as for managing change requests for the technical solution.
Job Responsibilities
- Working with the business SME and BA to build the Solution Design Document, Development Plan, OID & User Manual and any other technical document
- S/he should also be capable of creating the Process Definition Document, which includes process instructions at a keystroke level and accompanied details
- Designing an efficient and accurate automated process in line with the organization’s design authority standards and securing sign-off on the same
- Building the automated processes and objects and articulating scenarios that would require test case development
- Conducting process analysis and determining RPA suitability
- Testing the application profile requirement for the process, if required
- Tracking & ensuring on time delivery of the build
- Build the review package for SME approval/ production hand-off with supporting output and MI details
- Administer and execute process deployment across environments – UAT / Pre-prod / Prod. Conduct the configuration testing in all phases
- Run UAT using Blue Prism. Review test run output in detail to identify errors, discrepancies and bring testing results to desired confidence level
Knowledge and skills (general and technical):
- Solution orientation, with ability to diagnose configuration errors and deploy solutions swiftly
- Ability to view the process from the function’s perspective and identify the most efficient solution to meet the needs of the business
- Excellent process mapping and documentation skills
- Ability to understand processes from different functional areas and disciplines and design automation solutions for the same
- In-depth understanding of business processes automation methodologies and frameworks
- Ability to work with remot//e teams and independently in a time bound and proactive manner
- Strong grasping and learning skills on new skills as well as new responsibilities
- Excellent inter-personal communication skills – ability to work with multiple stakeholders and team members with high level of collaboration
- Strong stakeholder management
Education:
- Graduate from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Colleges
Experience:
- Minimum 3 - 4 years of work experience in a similar role as a configurator/Blue Prism developer
- Deep understanding of Insurance Industry and processes
- Excellent understanding of the RPA lifecycle
- Blue Prism Certified
- Minimum experience of 6 - 8 years overall in a similar or related role
Other Requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training – if required)
