Position Summary

 

 

Candidate joining this position will be involved in tasks including reporting, creating dashboards, building data models, analyzing datasets, building report through SSRS, and complete the administration of the Power BI tool.

Use SSRS ( SQL Server Reporting Services ) to build custom reports from a variety of data sources, such as SQL databases and other external sources, that gives administrators the ability to share reports to

Help to support build and integration of data warehouse for business requirements. Work with global partners on gathering requirements and build complex critical business metrices in power BI tool.

 

  • Power BI Report development.
  • Developing, testing and deploying SSRS reports to production environments.
  • Communicating with report consumers and other stakeholders to elicit and document reporting requirements and propose appropriate solutions.
  • Developing reporting requirements and obtaining sign off from business stakeholders.
  • Designing and developing report mock-ups and prototypes.
  • Helping QC Engineers to develop and execute report testing protocols.
  • Installation, administration and configuration of SSRS servers.
  • Understand business requirements in BI context and design data models to transform raw data into meaningful insights
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications and decide timeline to accomplish
  • Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models
  • Design, develop and deploy business intelligence solutions as per needs
  • SQL querying for best results, use of filters and graphs for better understanding of data
  • Building Analysis Services reporting models.
  • Developing visual reports, KPI scorecards, and dashboards using Power BI desktop.
  • Connecting data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business intelligence.
  • Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals.
  • Capable of implementing row-level security on data along with an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.
  • Should have an edge over making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.
  • Expert in using advanced-level calculations on the data set.
  • Responsible for design methodology and project documentaries.
  • Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.
  • Very good communication skills must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with the client teams, and with internal teams.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                                                                                                                                                                                               

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

 

Education

 

  • Btech or bachelor’s in computer science.

 

 

Experience

  • 8 plus years of total experience.
  • SSRS / Power-BI experience – Atleast 4 Years
  • SSIS experience
  • Strong SQL Server (stored-procedures, views) background.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to ascertain data quality issues.
  • Experience in creating data-rich dashboards, writing DAX expressions, and implementing row-level security in Power BI
  • Ability to create complex dashboards and reports
  • Ability to integrate complex reports / dashboards into data-warehouse builds
  • SQL queries (Preferred)

 

 

 

 

 

Knowledge and skills (general and technical)

Experience or Knowledge of the following:

  • Azure PaaS/Cloud knowledge
  • SSAS
  • Oracle
  • C#/Python/Java or any equivalent programming language experience
  • Data Warehouse Design experience
  • Excel/Word VBA
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Must process problem solving, planning, and analytical skills to drive continuous improvements
  • Flexibility in working hours and handling escalation and pressure situations
  • Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to coordinate cross functionally
