Position Summary:

The resource has to support Stateside Metrics transformation team in analytics, reporting and governance and support transformational projects from data analysis, dashboarding and small utility tool development using VBA/power Query, PowerPivot, Power BI, advanced Excel along with any other adhoc work that comes across as per service need

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

Prepare the following reports on periodic basis

  • Data Analysis and dashboarding across MetLife Capabilities, Functions and Departments as needed in the project
  • Build Macros using VBA for data transformation, small utility tool development for data Extraction, transformation and load
  • Review Leadership dashboard and other management reportouts
  • Prepare and consolidate dashboards for project reportout and update notes for missing data
  • Prepare, Review and Report key operations and customer centricity metrics for Governance and leadership
  • Requirement documentation/BRD writing
  • Manage data and reporting templates for countries and support template changes due to business and governance requirements as per guidelines provided
  • Participate in weekly review meeting to support Dashboard delivery
  • Support Projects on Process Standardization

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to comprehend requirements and conceptualize data analysis and visualization
  • Strong data analysis and superior problem-solving skills
  • Strong PC Application Skills (MS Office, including PowerPoint and Advanced Excel)
  • Good VBA and macro development skills
  • Working knowledge of Power Query
  • Proficient in Data & Business Analysis
  • Ability to establish priorities and handle multiple assignments concurrently with minimal direction in an evolving, fast paced work environment
  • Self-disciplined, Self-Initiating and result oriented
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with various levels, including understanding, documenting complex ideas and requirements into actionable steps.
  • Ability to work independently, with little to no supervision
  • Used to a fast pace of working and willing to commit to long working hours to achieve project deadlines when required
  • Good Team player

 

Experience:

  • Overall experience of 4 - 6 years. Preferably over 3 - 4 years of experience in an insurance company in Business Analysis and reporting role with extensive use of Advanced Excel, VBA macros and Power Query/PowerBI

 

Education:

  • B. Tech/ Graduation from Tier 1/ Tier 2 College

 

Other Requirements (licenses, certifications, specialized training – if required):

  • Knowledge of PowerBI/Python/ML will be an added advantage
