Position Summary (Basic Function)



  • Partner with Procurement and commodity leads and will partner with their assigned Stakeholders by turning data into information, information into insight and insights into recommended business decisions for sourcing and operational Stakeholders that will ultimately result in increased value and efficiency for MetLife
  • Procurement insights will be delivered, and presented to Stakeholder’s, on a recurring and ad-hoc basis in the form of scheduled reports, ad-hoc reports, performance dashboards, category strategy evaluation and other strategic activities
  • Managing end to end feed extraction, development and preparation for assigned area of reporting focus; preparation for ingestion into proBIT
  • Partnering with Procurement and commodity leads to lead collection, aggregation, cleansing and categorization activities where data is not available systematically and requires manual processing



Job Responsibilities (Essential Functions)



  • Perform evaluation on spend, savings and operational data from an accuracy perspective, for the purposes of identifying anomalies & opportunities and assessing performance, e.g. non-procurable, procurable and non-addressable evaluation and functional performance against benchmarks
  • Perform additional ad-hoc Due Diligence activities in support of Stakeholders needs
  • Perform low complexity, ad-hoc, report development in support of Stakeholders needs within proBIT
  • Complete applicable follow-ups from previous month’s domestic spend reporting and quarter’s regional procurement summaries
  • Prepare monthly reporting & dashboards intended for Procurement Leader, Category Lead, Sourcing Manager and Reg. Operational Stakeholders
  • Perpetually evaluate opportunities to minimize administrative responsibilities of Commodity management by taking over responsibility for said activities
  • Lead spend data collection & categorization activities for countries in which this activity is not automated
  • Prepare quarterly procurement summaries and dashboards intended for Regional and Country Stakeholders


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities




Graduate or Diploma holders with at least 15 years of education



  • 8-10 years working experience in Quality and metrics, with a preference for specific Supply Chain, Real Estate and Corporate functions experience as required
  • Cross-functional team leadership
