Basic Function

Support the Data Governance strategic objectives related short term or long-term project engagements and initiatives. Develop policies and procedures for Data Governance requirements. Provide an effective liaison between the business departments, understand business requirement & support projects with high magnitude of complexity. This position will support data governance documentation, including training materials, meeting agendas, announcements, communications plans and meeting minutes. The position will create and maintain status reports, issues lists, and monitor metrics and SLA’s.


Work with US subject matter experts (SMEs) to plan and execute the implementation. Ensure accuracy and quality of deliverables. 


Essential Functions


  • Prepare Data for cleansing, validation and Parsing for Data Quality in Alteryx
  • Profile data through Alteryx for initial analysis
  • Prepare Data Quality rules by using transformation logics in Alteryx.
  • Usage of InDatabase components in Alteryx for data extraction from various database.
  • Monitor data governance metrics and SLAs, assuring required KPI levels are within established thresholds
  • Develop and maintain data workflows using Alteryx
  • Design and develop ETL workflows and datasets in Alteryx to be used by the BI Reporting tool. 
  • Prepare technical specifications and documentation for Alteryx workflows supporting BI reports
  • Perform end-to-end Data validation to maintain accuracy of data sets
  • Work with the Data Governance Office to align project deliverables to operational demand.
  • Collect and manage metadata, including Business Glossary and Data Lineage.
  • Coordinate the resolution of data governance issues: maintain issues list, follows-up with stakeholders on open ‘Action Items’. Establishes ongoing communication with stakeholders to communicate work progress and outcome.
  • Create/maintain communications plan and another required project documentation.
  • Support and assist DGO in creating Data Governance deliverables; manage changes to documents and posts updates to portal.

Business Skills


  • Experience in installing, configuring and supporting Alteryx components in the Windows environment
  • Hands-on skills and experience in Alteryx Designer, Alteryx Server, and the tools with Alteryx such as Predictive, Parsing, and Transforms
  • Should be able to write complex SQL queries to automate/manipulate these extracts in Alteryx
  • Good Exposure to Power BI will be an added advantage
  • Alteryx application admin knowledge will be an added advantage


Technical Skill (Good to have)


  • Proficient in SQL/ PL-SQL on Oracle, MS SQLServer.
  • Expert in Data Visualization tools – Tableau, Qlikview, and Power BI.
  • Data Analytics and Quality tools – Alteryx.
  • Data Catalog/ Governance tools - Collibra etc.

  • 4-5 years of experience in Data Quality, BI Reporting

Graduate/ Post Graduate  with at least 15 years of education


Work Experience Requirements


  • 4-6 years working experience in Data Quality and BI Reporting
