Role Value Proposition: 

Website Product Manager will be accountable for MetLife.com, the face of the MetLife global enterprise and its lines of business in the U.S. in the digital environment to a wide variety of audiences, including prospects, customers, business partners, investors, financial analysts, potential and current employees and general consumers. S/He will be responsible for clearly re-defining the role of this key digital channel for MetLife both as a channel to successfully represent and communicate MetLife’s leadership and influential role in the society and our industry, and also as a channel to effectively drive understanding and usage of our relevant solutions of customers, delivering and exceeding the desired business and customer outcomes. 

Website Product Manager will be responsible for the content, experience quality and ultimately performance of MetLife.com, by continuously optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of the site in delivering against enterprise, business and customer objectives. To accomplish this, s/he will define and manage a roadmap for continuous evolution and innovation of this channel and establish best-in-class test and learn approaches and technologies. S/he will also define enterprise governance for the operationalization of this site, ensuring that a strong collaboration is achieved with partners and leaders from US lines of business, technology and enterprise functions, such as Communications, Sustainability, DEI, MetLife Foundation, HR, Investor Relations, Office of CEO, etc. The Product Manager will also lead a cross functional channel team comprised of dedicated experience designers, developers, data analysts, content strategists, creatives and digital marketers to drive continuous innovation and delivery against web channel strategies of MetLife enterprise and lines of business to ensure customer and business value creation.

As a critical role for MetLife’s digital transformation, the ideal candidate will have ample and proven experience in digital product and channel management, digital marketing, best-in-class data driven innovation practices and technologies and change management. The person must be a strong collaborator, have excellent communications skills and have a passion for being a change agent.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Define the overall strategy for MetLife.com, its role and goals, based on metrics, user insights, enterprise and LOB channel strategies and objectives.
  • Develop a roadmap for the site, clarifying the vision on how this product will evolve and over time to best deliver against its goals.
  • Establish the appropriate governance model and ways of working, including processes and routines that emphasizes effective and efficient collaboration among design, engineering and multiple business sponsors from enterprise and US business teams.
  • Stand up and lead the web channel team, comprised of Product Owners for specific experiences or user types and dedicated subject matter experts in design, engineering, data analytics and content strategy and development.
  • Working within agile approach, lead the execution of the roadmap and work through continuous backlog refinement.
  • Oversee ongoing delivery, leading the visual, experiential and technical delivery of the website.
  • Continuously track performance of the website, ensuring this channel’s effectiveness in driving right users to the site, increased engagement of desired visitors, and efficient and quality implementation based on enterprise and business objectives, delivering growth.
  • Implement best-in-class test-and-learn approaches and user research efforts for ongoing optimization and innovation based on data and insights
  • Decisively resolve priorities, timing, risks and possible breaking changes
  • Foster open dialogue with business sponsors, product owners and other stakeholders for continued enhancement of the product and collaboration

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 10+ years of professional experience focused on digital and performance marketing and delivery of digital experiences and products
  • Proven product management experience in setting product vision based on user needs and business objectives, from discovery through delivery
  • Proven expertise in SEO, A/B testing, MarTech activation (particularly Adobe Experience Cloud)
  • Keep abreast to the development and trends in the ever-changing digital marketing landscape
  • Experience in Agile practices and delivery  
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving
  • Ability to drive responsible growth and identify areas for continuous improvement
  • Ability to lead, influence and operate effectively in a highly matrixed and complex environment in order to align and foster collaboration with stakeholders at all levels and drive performance
  • Ability to decisively resolve priorities, manage risks and take responsibility for the execution in pursuit of the desired outcomes.
  • Entrepreneurial and experimental mindset, can-do spirit and ability to work and thrive in an evolving environment
