Role Value Proposition

The RIS business (Retirement Income Solutions), one of the largest U.S. segments in MetLife, offers a wide variety of products including pension risk transfer products, GIC/Funding agreements, stable value products, structured settlements, Institutional Income Annuities and PRB & SBR products.

The role will drive Agile Business Analysis throughout RIS. In partnership with each of the RIS businesses and key partners throughout MetLife and using advanced analytical techniques, this person will focus on driving the quality of requirements and improve the way our business product and operation partners request enhancements.  We are looking for someone with passion to engage with our business customers and help them define what they need to add value to our organization and MetLife.  This role will also help troubleshoot and triage production issues to allow RIS business product teams to process business efficiently in the RIS admin systems.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Align to Agile teams to create and deliver enhancements to RIS admin systems
  • Prioritize production issues and change requests to ensure we are working on the issues that are most important to our business and our customers.
  • Develop protocols and standards to help make systems more reliable, auditable and efficient.
  • Challenge the status quo and look for opportunities to make our processes and our products better for our customers
  • Create requirements and iterate changes to RIS Admin systems in an Agile
  • Test and validate product changes in an Agile manner.
  • Ability to document Standard Operating Procedures and recommend changes that will increase efficiency and reduce risk
  • Innovate strategies for to drive Change Requests and Productions Issues through our Agile framework.
  • Ability to triage and prioritize issues so that we can focus our efforts on the most important items for our business product partners
  • Be able to prioritize enhancement requests as part of Change Management in the Scrum Teams
  • Ability to plan and execute on the Operation Readiness for all changes to our products

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills 


  • Experience is troubleshooting issues.
  • Experience in Business Analysis and creating requirements for application
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Bachelor’s degree


  • Familiarity in Agile Methodology

The wage range for applicants for this position is $68,500-91,300.00  This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off.
