Role Value Proposition: 

The Strategic Design Associate is responsible for coordinating the application of customer experience design (CX&D) principles and services to identified business-critical initiatives to deliver a best-in-class customer experience in market. The role will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of CX&D functions – design, content, user experience and customer experience – to business development projects. The role will involve aligning local, regional and global resources and selected agency support, to deliver end-to-end design solutions aligned with the global brand, customer experience principles and local market business objectives.  The role combines a business focus with creative insight, and will include extensive time in-market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day application of global customer experience design principles to identified business-critical initiatives, including user experience, graphic design, content strategy and customer experience.
  • Build customer journey maps and determine critical moment-of-truth experiences. Lead prototyping exercises to create testable objects and/or experiences that allow for business feasibility analysis and customer acceptance testing to bring designed experiences to life.
  • Build creative briefs for execution based on relevant segment and business data.
  • Manage program delivery, timelines and budgeting for development teams to ensure timely delivery of identified project goals
  • Organize functional teams of local, regional and global resources to brainstorm ideal customer experiences across the customer journey for high-value business projects, deliver detailed development plans and execute rapid prototyping, providing a detailed go-to-market plans.
  • Partner with Science of Marketing to develop testing methodologies for prototype experiences and measure business impact of deliverables.
  • Partner with head of program development to develop project management and reporting routines.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Experience in creating and executing customer experience projects using design thinking methodology
  • Experience leading creative development projects across multiple design disciplines
  • Deep understanding of how different CX&D skills can come together in market to realize business goals.
  • Decision making: Decisions directly affect the success of creative projects, client and department budgets and department personnel
  • Direction/Leadership of others: Coordinates use of local, regional and global resources on a project basis.  May include project-level oversight of external agency resources.



  • 3+ years professional experience in design.



  • Formal education in design (BA or BFA degree) is highly preferred.
