Role Value Proposition:    


Manage relationships with investors, stakeholders, and analysts. Represent financial position of organization to stakeholders, shareholders, analysts, and staff.  Respond to queries and questions.  Performs a variety of financial studies to analyze and report interrelationships of financial information of both company and peers.  Determines validity of data and provides supporting explanations of conclusions reached. 


Key Responsibilities: 


  • Works on basic to more complex financial analyses, assignments or projects. 
  • Provides support to the Investor Relations team in a variety of areas including financial analysis, marketing, investor communications, presentations and reports to senior management and lines of business.
  • Monitor shareholder information, including changes in ownership at both the institutional and fund levels.
  • Prepare materials for investor meetings, conferences, earnings releases and other investor relations events.
  • Drive competitive analysis on a monthly basis, including keeping track of financial results, strategy, and research for MetLife and its peers.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None.  May provide technical guidance to and assist junior staff members.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:



  • 3-5 yrs. financial experience in a public or private company environment.
  • Working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Must have excellent power point and excel skills.
  • Strong project management, short hand writing and communications skills.
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas, both written and oral, to senior internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment when dealing with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential documents and information in a highly professional manner.


  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg and Thomson Reuters.
  • Completion of or progress towards CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Hard-working, proven attention-to-detail, and desire to learn.
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Attention to detail as well as follow through skills are important.
  • Polished, articulate, creative and a positive attitude.
  • Highly organized, ability to multi-task and be proactive.
