Role Value Proposition
The Global Event Operations team is a key part of the Global Brand and Marketing organization. This team collaborates with internal stakeholders to achieve defined business objectives through the successful execution of the Enterprise’s highest profile meetings and events (virtual, hybrid and in-person) and bring those objectives to life through carefully crafted experiences. In this team, the Senior Planner has responsibility for end-to-end event logistics and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct project management of the company’s highest profile meetings and events
- Developing meeting design reflective of program specific objectives as well as broader Enterprise culture and strategy
- Management of, and negotiation with, suppliers to maximize benefits to the company
- Complete financial management on behalf of the program stakeholders from budget creation to final reconciliation
- Additional departmental projects, as needed
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
Required:
- 5+ years of relevant event management experience in a global environment
- Demonstrated innovation in conference management and implementation
- Experience preparing and managing budgets, financial plans, and related assumptions
- Adept at contract negotiation with thorough knowledge of legal issues, contract language in the hospitality industry
- Ability to advise, influence, and lead diverse audiences
- Proven project management skills; Strong attention to detail and ability to track multiple initiatives with different stakeholders, timelines, scale, and scope
- Strong aptitude with technology - specifically Cvent and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and excellent PowerPoint creation skills)
Preferred:
- Foreign language skills (Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, etc.)

The wage range for applicants for this position is 101,000 to 130,000.. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
