The Retirement & Income Solutions (“RIS”) business is part of MetLife’s U.S. Business.  RIS delivers business-to-business retirement and benefit funding solutions in specialized financial and insurance markets.  RIS is a leading provider of stable value products, structured settlements, annuities for employer sponsored plans and life insurance funding products. As part of the RIS Contracts team, this role works closely with the product, sales and legal teams to develop and file contracts and related documents for new and existing products.  This role is primarily responsible for compliant filing of forms with state insurance departments and required periodic reporting with supervision for the RIS organization.  Forms primarily include contracts, amendments, certificates, letters of agreement, and separate account memoranda of operations.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
•    Prepare and make regulatory filings, using primarily the SERFF (including Interstate Insurance Compact) electronic filing systems.
•    Respond to insurance regulators with assistance on questions and requests related to form filings.
•    Prepare, maintain and disseminate filing status and other internal metrics reports to all relevant stakeholders.
•    Maintain the recordkeeping for filing documentation and issued forms, including managing the files and updating appropriate databases and systems. 
•    Assist with development and issuance of forms and documents to support new and existing products within RIS.   Assist with determining variations in forms.  
•    Maintain knowledge and understanding of company policies and state rules and regulations impacting contracts.
•    Collaborate with internal business partners as necessary to accomplish objectives. 
•    Assist with special compliance, product development and team projects on an as needed basis.



•    Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience.
•    Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
•    Strong analytical, problem solving and research skills.
•    Attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
•    Self-motivated, flexible and enthusiastic. 
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•    Outcome-focused and deadline oriented.
•    Ability to interact and work collaboratively and constructively with people at various levels within RIS and with regulators at state departments of insurance.
•    Strong interest in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, including digital/automated business solutions, integrating technology and process improvements.
•    Strong customer focus.  



•    1-2 years of SERFF and I-File submission experience for group contract forms.
•    3-5 years of experience in the group life insurance industry, preferably involving contract drafting, filing or within compliance aspects of this business.

The wage range for this position specific to Colorado is $55,000 to $68,700. You may be also eligible for the MetLife Annual Variable Incentive Plan ("AVIP").  Your eligibility for an AVIP award are governed by the terms of the applicable plan or program documents.
