<span 72="">The Senior Marketing Manager, Content Strategy Development is responsible for the creation of thought leadership content and stories for the MetLife Brand that drives customer engagement while achieving business goals.

<span 72="">Core responsibilities will focus on leading the development, execution and day-to-day management of agency partners to help deliver content and stories for Group Benefits.

<span 72="">This individual will help bring a MetLife specific point of view and voice that is consistent across markets, based off business goals, priorities and customer insights.  This role will support the Content Strategy Lead and will help prioritize and create communications strategies across the Customer Marketing and Product Marketing content calendar and assist in campaign execution and optimization and overall measurement and reporting.

<span 72="">Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop content aligned and prioritized to U.S. Group Benefits business goals
  • Collaborate with Customer Marketing on business strategy, content development that elevates and differentiates MetLife within the sales story.
  • Develop content briefs that bring audience insights to life while driving business goals.
  • Partner with agencies as needed and oversee all aspects of production ensuring assets are in line with the market needs, delivered on time, on budget and on brand. 
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on planning, research and approvals including business partners, legal and brand review.
  • Incorporate data and research into creative development/optimizations including best practices, historical results and artificial intelligence. 
  • Develop customer first messaging and communications, guiding all key stakeholders as needed.
  • Collaborate with integrated marketing teams within MetLife (Product Marketing, Business Partners, Analytics, Digital, etc.) to coordinate content and timely launch, optimizations and reporting.
  • Partner with content agencies, and other agency partners, to stay up to date on best practices including competitive
  • Become an expert on the MetLife brand tone of voice and visual guidelines. Develop and nurture relationships with global brand and other US businesses to understand where the brand is evolving and channel best practices across the business.

    <span 72="">Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

    <span 72="">Required:

    <ul 72="" style="-webkit-tap-highlight-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0); background-color:#ffffff; color:#333333">
  • 5+ years of content development and marketing experience with deep functional expertise including marketing strategy, execution/production and in-campaign optimizations.
  • Understanding of a broad range marketing channels: traditional, digital, social, content, and customer marketing a plus
  • Proven success of leading innovation from conceptualization to implementation for a large brand or portfolio of reputable brands
  • Working knowledge of analytics, measurement and reporting
  • Ability to develop and optimize fully integrated marketing strategy and plans across a large-scale enterprise organization
  • Ability to inclusively and pro-actively lead, influence and motivate individual contributors across a highly matrixes environment
  • Willingness to jump in to help cross-functional team deliver on integrated marketing work as needed

  • MBA or other advanced degree desirable.
