Role Value Proposition:

MetLife Foundation has been a leader in corporate philanthropy over its 45-year history. The Foundation makes grants of about $40 Million per year, with a primary focus on financial health.  The Foundation has chosen this focus area because achieving financial health is a persistent challenge for low-to-moderate income communities around the globe. Innovation and disruption in our global economy amplify this uncertainty, but also offer opportunity for those working to develop the skills to navigate this new reality. MetLife Foundation believes financial health should be within every person’s reach.

We develop diverse approaches to building a more financially healthy future: supporting each person’s meaningful steps forward—no matter where they stand today. Through grants and impact investments focused on financial health, MetLife Foundation helps individuals and communities that are underserved and aspire for more. We partner with organizations around the world to create new solutions, build stronger communities, and connect and amplify best practices—engaging our workforce to help drive impact. Ultimately our goal is to help people manage their finances, expand their income opportunities, build self-reliance, and realize their potential.

By the end of 2017, MetLife Foundation has worked with more than 170 financial inclusion/financial health partners in 42 countries, enabling more than 6 million low-income people to build a more secure and financially healthy future.
