This position will be a key member of the U.S. Pensions Product team supporting several important initiatives primarily focused on Bulk Check pension closeouts. This role will also prepare analysis for approval of large or unusual PRT cases requiring approval from senior leaders and the Enterprise Steering Committee. The role will work closely with all RIS business and functional partners, including Operations, Pricing, Actuarial, and Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team responsible for annual reconciliations of client and MetLife data for all bulk check arrangements.
- Oversee research and resolution of discrepancies in benefit accounts and participant data.
- Review internal reports to ensure accuracy of retirement commencements.
- Support ongoing management and reporting for legacy group annuity contracts.
- Lead efforts to help continue to create new and enhanced tools to aid in automation and quality control processes and ensure efficient management of in-force business.
- Develop expertise related to the technical aspects of participant benefits and pension contracts.
- Provide support to internal partners on all bulk check related pricing issues.
- Perform post-sale pricing related functions for certain bulk check cases such as analyzing price variance and handling amendment calculations.
- Develop pricing sensitivities and ad-hoc scenario analyses required for governance and approval of large or unusual PRT cases, including preparation of presentations for senior leaders and the Enterprise Steering Committee
- Provide actuarial support to transaction managers on issues that may surface during the new business bidding process.
- Complete special or adhoc projects to support the US Pensions business.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
- Experience building new processes and process improvements: self-starter, ability to work independently and comfortable with learning and challenging existing processes
- 5+ years of experience
- Strong project management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong quantitative and financial skills
- Understanding of annuity products and pension benefits preferred
- Proficiency in Alteryx, Python or other programming skills preferred.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Relationship Building Abilities
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Alteryx, Python or other programming skills preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field

The wage range for applicants for this position is $96,900 to $146,200. This role is also eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation.
