The Manager of Marketing Analysis & Enablement will build relationships with MetLife Property & Casualty (P&C) business, IT partners, vendors and media/consulting agencies; identify business goals and develop strategies for translating those into both measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and actionable Digital Marketing Solutions e.g. data-driven customization, testing & CRM.  The manager will execute measurement and activation plans that play a key role in enhancing MetLife’s customer experience and performance of online and offline marketing programs. The manager will investigate customer behavior, attribute revenue, assess business impact and socialize the findings for the betterment of the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:    

  • Create and grow trusted cross-functional relationships
  • Support & evolve US Marketing team practices in executing data management, analytics planning, implementation, reporting and insights across marketing initiatives including:  acquisition, cross-sell, retention, loss ratio and cost savings
  • Oversee data collection methodologies, automation and processes to support on-boarding needs for campaigns, website / portal behavior, conversion funnel performance, and ROI
  • Build real-time dashboards that automate aggregation of multiple data sources, visually communicate and facilitate marketing decisions
  • Provide easy-to-understand marketing insights and consultation that translate into practical, actionable recommendations across multiple marketing channels:
  • Digital – search, display & social
  • Email – acquisition & CRM
  • Direct mail
  • Inbound & outbound phone
  • Perform deep dive analyses and recommend corresponding hypotheses to test; lead testing recommendations and implementation
  • Optimize and scale  analytics, IT and data ecosystem linkage, including tag management and campaign management, within the MetLife enterprise model
  • Manage one direct report
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in data/ digital analytics, monitoring business performance results and creating recommendations to make key business decisions
  • Intermediate SQL knowledge i.e. comfortable with complex table joins, aggregates, derived measures/formulas in code
  • Advanced Excel and intermediate MS Access abilities
  • Adept in Tableau, Domo, Qlik Sense or other BI data aggregation and visualization software
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (python, VBA/VBS, or similar)
  • Fluency in digital  industry standard reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics & DoubleClick
  • Familiarity with data platforms (SAS & R) and digital languages (HTML, JavaScript)
  • Strong grasp of data management and data flow as it relates to disparate reporting systems (e.g. ad serving, digital analytics, lead and sales reporting)
  • Established track record of managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of tag management platforms (e.g. Adobe DTM, GTM & Ensighten)
  • Basic knowledge of marketing principles, fundamental finance & budgeting concepts
  • Sound business acumen with results-driven mindset and sense of urgency
     

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative and/or business field
  • Experience with insurance/ financial services products e.g. life & auto insurance, annuities and brokerage services
  • Experience in implementing A/B testing and multi-touch attribution e.g.  Adobe Target, Optimizely, Google A360
  • Understanding of data onboarding process and platforms (e.g. LiveRamp, Neustar) and online to phone tracking (e.g. DialogTech, Invoca, Marchex)
  • Statistics & modeling experience
