The Integrated Marketing & Media Planning Associate will be responsible for assisting in building and executing fully integrated marketing programs in the US for the MetLife Brand that drives customer engagement and positions MetLife as relevant, differentiated and forward thinking.  The primary focus of this role will be media planning and execution. This person will be the lead for media strategy, media planning, campaign execution and optimizations.  Additionally, the role will have exposure to the development of integrated media campaigns, from brief to execution.  They will assist in communication strategy, creative development, integrated campaign planning and be responsible for offline and online media, with a heavy emphasis on digital channels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing US media strategy, planning, campaign management (TV, Print, Search, Social, Digital, Content)
  • Management of budgeting/forecasting and coordinate with internal and external teams for campaign planning, execution, optimization and reporting
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, and internal agency counterparts
  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance on media best practices as a media expert; Regularly inform both internal team members and external clients about opportunities, challenges and marketplace, technology developments
  • Align with integrated marketing teams within MetLife (PR, Social, Analytics, Metrics, etc) to coordinate campaigns and ensure tracking

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 3+ years planning across all media vehicles in an agency or client environment.  Experience with TV, Print and Digital Media (heavy emphasis on digital and programmatic).
  • Strong experience with ad serving, analytics, and attribution technologies and partners (Double Click, Google Analytics, Adobe, Etc.)
  • Highly analytical, with experience optimizing for lead generation performance
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that is dedicated to marketing excellence
  • Ambition to learn new skills, gain marketing experience outside of media planning and grow as a marketer.

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Advanced degree
  • Experience with brief writing, communication planning, integrated campaign strategy and creative development and management
  • B2B and Direct Marketing experience
