Role Value Proposition:  MetLife’s Digital vision is to accelerate growth and drive value through a focus on customers, world-class capabilities, and a holistic transformation.  Driven by passion and purpose, we are looking for you to work as part of the newly established Digital Office on efforts to reshape and execute the enterprise Digital agenda at MetLife.  As the Director, Global Digital Strategy and Transformation you will be instrumental in managing change and implementing MetLife’s Digital strategy in the focus areas of innovation, process automation, and distribution platforms and data analytics. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support the development of Digital strategies across MetLife working with key stakeholders including lines of businesses and cross functional regional teams

  • Work with the digital team to execute key components of programs across the global Digital strategy portfolio

  • Support the development of key internal Digital initiatives across MetLife – including: Digital University, “Digital Branding” and Communications

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to evaluate, provide insight and participate in driving strategic outcomes that have the greatest impact on the Company.  Translate strategic ideas into operational imperatives and plans while working with the team execute turning the ideas into realities. 

  • Conduct analysis and create presentations supporting Vice President of Digital Transformations communication efforts for MetLife’s senior stakeholder groups

  • Champion and communicate MetLife’s Digital strategy to internal and external audiences

  • Provide and demonstrate thought leadership through competency and credibility in representing the Digital Office to MetLife executive management, functional heads and other stakeholders


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:



  • At least five years of collective experience focusing on technology strategy, Digital, or innovation
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize  the evolving future of an industry, and to develop
    insights into consumer trends and disruptive technology, using data and evidence to define impact on businesses and/or a relevant sector; strong written and oral communications skills

  • Undergraduate degree in related discipline required



  • Three years in a top tier management consulting concern
  • Experience working in Financial Services; Insurance (Life, P&C, Health) and/or Banking experience is preferred
  • Experience working in a complex global organization with proven effectiveness operating in a global company spanning multiple business units

  • Graduate degree in related discipline preferred
