THE ROLE: ANALYST, STRATEGIC PLANNING

The Strategic Planning Analyst will support the broader US Marketing Strategy Team with the development, analysis and tracking of the annual marketing plan, business plans, budgets and POs, and individual marketing programs. The role requires attention to detail, project management skills, experience with multi-level reporting and the ability to work with and synthesize large data sets that guide strategic decisions around business growth and profitability.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively support the annual marketing planning process, including consolidation of US business unit goals, priorities and strategies as input into the process
  • Support and manage processes for the analysis and prioritization of marketing initiatives within the broader marketing portfolio
  • Support budget planning and management of purchase orders
  • Engage US Marketing leaders to define milestones and metrics that measure the impact of marketing programs
  • Perform market analyses, including research of competitors and analog companies to understand products, services, go-to-market strategies and marketing investment levels/programs
  • Act as a liaison between the various Operations, Financial Planning and Strategy functions within the US and Global businesses
  • Prepare and manage periodic reporting for US Marketing, Global Marketing and US Business
  • Perform related duties as assigned or requested.

Required:

  • 3+ years of professional experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities      
  • Excellent oral and written communications with strong planning and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and keep assignments on track
  • Experience adapting to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

 

Preferred:

  • Undergraduate degree with a strong knowledge of financial and business principles, including advanced Excel skills
  •  Proficiency with Ariba preferred, not mandatory
