Sr. Analyst - Debt Production

Summary of Responsibilities:

Support a local team of real estate professionals originating, closing, and managing commercial real estate loan investments on behalf of MetLife’s US and Mexico general account portfolios and third party clients. Participate in the evaluation, analysis, underwriting, negotiation and closing of new debt transactions and the servicing of the existing loan portfolio. 


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the underwriting and valuation of commercial real estate assets for new loans.
  • Provide in-depth analysis and assist with the preparation of new transaction approval memoranda.
  • Assist with due diligence, data input, information collection efforts, and the closing process.
  • Provide systems and database support, and assist with property inspections.
  • Research markets, company and industry data and financial market information.
  • Support loan asset management initiatives of the existing real estate debt portfolio including borrower requests, third party investor compliance, internal reporting, post-closing requirements, lease reviews, draw requests, loan boarding, and portfolio surveillance.
  • Assist the Mortgage Team on the existing portfolio with valuations, mortgage ratings, financial statement reviews, and data entry. 
  • Support the efforts in the management and administration of commercial real estate loan investments in the portfolio, including annual mortgage ratings, collateral valuations, property inspections, lease approvals, and loan assumptions and modifications.
  • Assist in pro-actively managing a real estate loan portfolio with stated strategies.
  • Prepare loan portfolio reporting requests, as needed.




  • Results-driven professional with 3 to5 years of relevant job experience
  • Technical proficiency in Excel valuation and financial modeling and strong computer skills
  • 100% Bilingual (English & Spanish) with strong interpersonal and written and oral skills. Implements Headquarters Culture and Standards under a bicultural and international environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable business-related field
  • Ability to take on multiple assignments at the same time each with specific deadlines.
  • Team oriented with strong work ethic and time management skills.
  • Availability to travel



  • MBA preferred, not required.
