The Role:
This position provides support for MetLife Finance systems and users globally. The position will be the subject matter expert for Planning applications such as Hyperion Planning (HP) & Enterprise Planning Budgeting Cloud Services (EPBCS) and will be actively involved in their day-to-day execution, working closely with business partners to ensure finance objectives and deadlines are met. This position will also play a key role in the implementation of enhancements and initiatives in an effort to continually improve the efficiency of process and controls within the systems supported.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides subject matter expertise for MetLife’s Planning Applications, Hyperion Planning (HP) & Enterprise Planning Budgeting Cloud Services (EPBCS) in support of Finance users (FP&A team).
  • Responsible for utilizing established MetLife/ITIL processes in support of incident resolution and request fulfillment.
  • Understands business impact and escalates unresolved incidents to second level support, IT or management in a timely fashion.
  • Participates in assignments or projects of a routine or non-routine, basic to complex level, dependent upon position in learning curve.
  • May assist in Developing business requirements, documenting procedures & processes, and testing as a subject matter expert on cross functional IT/business teams developing financial systems or financial accounting transactions and controls within administrative systems.
  • May guide the activities of entry-level staff members.
  • Interacts with internal and external customers.
  • Partners with peers both in region and globally to ensure seamless service and escalation, uniformity of processes, and continued encouragement of process improvement and LEAN initiatives.


Candidate Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree, preferably in Computer Science/Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, OR equivalent experience.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Minimum of 3-7 year’s total experience providing user/systems support, preferably in the Finance industry.
  • Strong demonstrated analytical, interpersonal, communications, prioritization, time and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of Planning Applications such Hyperion Planning (HP) and Enterprise Planning Budgeting Cloud Services (EPBCS).
  • Strong proficiency with computer systems, PC’s and financial software applications (i.e. spreadsheets, financial modeling software). Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, principles and practices.
  • Ability to present and communicate concisely and clearly with conclusions and recommendations in a manner that both financial & non-financial audiences can understand.
  • Knowledge of the ITIL Framework and processes, LEAN principles and ability to identify, design, and implement process improvements.
  • MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint capabilities.
  • Adaptable to various work situations; ability to work well with others across all levels of management and geographies.
