Title:  Pricing Actuary - Senior Manager

 

 

Reporting To:  Head of Regional Product / Head of Product Review Asia

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of global pricing projects across Asia by working with other functions (e.g. local and regional product / finance / actuarial teams)
  • Play a lead role in regional sharing of product design and innovation
  • Provide designated countries (i.e. Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia & Vietnam) with actuarial and technical support in product development and product innovation, pricing including modeling and model validation, and reinsurance arrangement
  • Develop and enhance the pricing models and tools for new product initiatives / repriced products for designated markets
  • Review countries’ pricing models to ensure the adherence to pricing methodology and approach
  • Ensure financials and risks of the products are within the company’s appetite and compliant with definitions set by Corporate Office

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Solid experience in product design and solution development, with exposure to several line of business (e.g. life / wealth / health / medical), preferably in multiple Asian markets
  • Pricing experience with strong modeling and technical skill, including building pricing model using spreadsheet (VBA)
  • Stochastic modelling experience is a plus
  • Work with little and remote supervision from the Regional Office
  • Strong analytic and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to influence
  • FSA or equivalent credential
