Summary of Responsibilities:

 

To review and approve Value of New Business (VNB), Embedded Value (EV) and Business Projection (VNB, Capital Deployed, ANP) produced by the respective Asian Region.

 

 

 

 

Principal Responsibilities:

 

  • Work closely with the Actuarial Project Implementation Team on the deliverable dates on the VNB and EV results and send out deliverable dates to the business unit to ensure the timeline are met.
  • Review the EV result produced by Japan, Korea and China business unit.
  • Summarized the EV result and send it to the relevant parties such as Finance Controller team and Chief Actuary
  • Obtained all signoff (Local Business Unit and Asia Regional Office) once the EV result is approved by Asia Chief Actuary and Global Chief Actuary.
  • Review the VNB result produced by the Asia business Unit (Japan, Korea, China, Australia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Malaysia, and Vietnam)
  • Summarized the VNB result and send it to the relevant parties such as Asia Chief Actuary, Asia Risk Team, Asia Product Team and others
  • Work closely with Enterprise Planning and Projections Actuarial team on the deliverable dates on the Business Projection (BP) and send out deliverable dates to the business unit to ensure the timeline are met.
  • Review the BP produced by Japan, Korea and China business unit and send the results to the relevant parties such as Enterprise Planning and Projections Actuarial team, Asia Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team and others
  • Summarized the BP result and send it to the relevant parties such as Chief Actuary and Asia FP&A team
  • Ad hoc request from other stakeholders on VNB, EV and BP related queries.

 

 

 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:

 

  • Minimum 6 years of working experience
  • Strong valuation and EV experience preferred
  • High execution on delivering outputs within deadlines and investigating root-cause analysis in outputs and background data.
  • General learnings skills, flexible adaptation to variable circumstance, positive attitude to learn new knowledge and work ethic are required.
  • Proficient verbal and written English skills and careful communicational attitude. Internal communication among different backgrounds across countries is required.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint for production.

 

 

 

 

Qualification Required:

 

  • ASA, or near qualified is preferred.
