Summary of Responsibilities:

 

Responsible for US GAAP reporting and analysis in the KL Center of Excellence (CoE) for the assigned Local Business Units (LBU): Korea. He/she also collaborates with the LBUs on related business concerns and drives continuous improvements. 

 

Customer

  • Supports US GAAP reporting and analysis in the KL Center of Excellence (CoE) for the assigned Local Business Units (LBU): Korea
  • Interfaces with LBUs to understand requirements and leads the delivery of high-quality solutions
  • Collaborates with peers to fully understand the needs and issues related to assigned LBUs

 

Technical

  • Responsible for US GAAP actuarial financial reporting (DAC, VOBA, Reserves, Loss Recognition Testing and DAC recoverability analysis, Fair Values, Financial Report Disclosures) for assigned LBUs and feeds journal entry support information to Controllers group
  • Assist LBU to address questions from auditors and regional office
  • Execute and improve existing controls on the reporting process
  • Collaborate with other team member and supporting the team lead on EV, VNB production and VNB

 

Projection Analysis.

  • Management and Development
  • Assists team lead to plan, organize, coordinate the tasks assigned
  • Identifies potential process enhancement opportunity and execute the necessary changes
  • Identifies and discuss with team lead on potential individual development opportunities

 

Reporting Relationships

 

  • Reports to the Team Lead in KL
  • Support the team lead in US GAAP and / or EV reporting and analysis
  • Key linkages: Local Business team, Global Actuarial Modeling team, other stakeholders

 

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:

 

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 yrs. working experience
  • Good progress in Actuarial Examination
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to analyze, interpret and address customer needs
  • Experience on actuarial and coding software such as Python, Prophet or Axis is useful
