SHIFT:  12:30 - 9pm

This position works 1 weekend a month.

 

Travel to the Jeffersonville, IN office 1x per quarter will be required.

 

Summary of Responsibilities:

The Supervisor of Sales will be responsible for the overall sales efforts of the sales team. This position will provide quality and efficient sales and customer service solutions through the daily management of a team of sales agents and sales team leads.  This person will motivate, coach, counsel, train, and problem solve to ensure individual and team goals are met.

 

This role requires a high-energy person capable of strategic thinking and leadership, problem solving, multi-tasking as well as attention to detail in day-to-day operational procedures.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Utilize knowledge of MetLife Pet Insurance products and processes to provide daily direction and communication to call center sales agents around individual and team performance as well as organizational updates and changes to processes or products
  • Develop sales agents by providing individual performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis while encouraging strong performance and developing action plans to drive success
  • Implement performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions for those not meeting metric requirements for bonus, not complying with company policies and procedures or overall non-compliance
  • Analyze staffing, training, and scheduling, implement any necessary changes to improve the overall performance of the team, time clock management, schedule change requests, customer escalations, inter-department communication and policy change requests
  • Provide in-depth training for all new hires and continuing education for veteran team members
  • Document and consistently refine standard operating procedures while monitoring real-time sales agent activity and address unscheduled issues (wrap, breaks, unavailable time, calls in queue)
  • Responsible for outbound dialer management as well as agent skill setup within the contact center software

 

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of relevant experience (Pet product knowledge a plus)
  • Proven sales leadership experience with the ability to develop a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong project management skills including problem solving, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and decisiveness.

The wage range for applicants for this position is $45,500 - $60,000. The role is eligible for incentive compensation under the sales incentive plan for your position. MetLife offers a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare benefits, life insurance, retirement benefits, parental leave, legal plan services and paid time off. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
