The Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is a senior technical role with strong experience and skills in quality assurance and test automation. This role is primarily responsible for defining and implementing a test automation strategy to include new and existing applications. This role will also represent Test Automation within the GTC cross-functional DevOps initiative.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing a Test Automation strategy; working with remote teams to align with global strategy and initiatives.
  • Responsible for driving the rollout of Automated Testing, including creation of Business Cases for POCs, illustrating cost savings and managing partners.
  • Responsible for strategic migration of manual regression testing suites to an automated solution.
  • Responsible for coordinating  automation efforts between onsite/offshore teams

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8) / diploma (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or related field and 10+ years of related experience
  • Automating testing tools such as Selenium, Tosca etc.
  • Deep understanding of different test automation approaches (keyword-driven, Data-driven, BDD, hybrid) and technology stacks (Java, .NET, COBOL, PHP, ASP.Net, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Applied knowledge of database platforms such as SQL Server, DB 400 or MySQL.
  • 7+ years related work experience.
