MetLife is opening a new Global Technology Campus in Galway, Ireland in 2017 which will have more than 200 employees. MetLife is seeking someone with experience in pplanning and implementing grant programs from its application to approval and utilization. This role will also encompass a Site Management role for our new Building in Galway.

 

Application and Software Developers are responsible for the design, development, and implementation of applications that enable MetLife to provide the best products and services to our internal and external customers. Associate Software Development Engineers may gain exposure to the following, depending on their specified role and team:

  • Software Development Life Cycle including: requirements analysis, development, testing
  • Development languages such as: Java, HTML, .NET or C#
  • Mainframe development
  • Mobile application development
  • IT Architecture (SOA), standards, procedures and policies

 

 

Requirements:

  • Ability to commence in June or Sept 2018
  • Completed a minimum of a Level 8 Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college/university
  • Less than 12 months working experience in the IT area
  • Students academically involved in computer science, information technology, information systems, computer engineering, math, business administration, or related field

  • Strong technical curiosity and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Relevant campus involvement, work experience, and/or community service experience
