MetLife is looking for an experienced Senior Agile Coach to join our EMEA Senior Leadership Team. This candidate will bring their experience working with high-functioning Agile teams to coach teams across our leadership and eighteen EMEA countries throughout their Agile journey. The ideal candidate is passionate about improving processes, teamwork and effectiveness of Agile teams and is dedicated to providing products and services that enable and accelerate our Agile maturity.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Guide Teams on Agile and Lean values and practices – SAFe and Lean expertise is vital
  • Coach Leadership on benefits of Agile ways of thinking and working
  • Lean Portfolio Management development and coaching
  • Building and maintaining Agile Communities of Practice and communication strategy
  • Analyse existing Agile practices and make recommendations on how to improve them further
  • Influence others on trying different approaches incl. DevOps Culture and DevOps concepts (CI/CD, BDD, TDD etc.)
  • Teach, Coach and mentor others on Agile mind-set, behaviours, frameworks and practices
  • Lead Agile Transformation at the micro level and /or in the scaled environments
  • Help to facilitate the Scrum Events and SAFe Events and meetings
  • Guide others on how to effectively fulfil their Agile roles; SM, PO, RTE etc.
  • Drive and support shift from projects to product -led organization
  • Champion a value-focused Agile mindset
  • Support the Leadership/ POs with building clear Roadmaps and ensuring the work is prioritized and healthy product backlogs are created and maintained
  • Demonstrate how to gather meaningful Agile metrics


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


  • 10+ years’ experience within the IT field
  • Familiar with number of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  • Able to develop interactive training sessions to support Agile Transformation
  • A proven track of working with technical and non-technical teams
  • Experienced coaching groups and coaching in 1:1 set-up
  • Broad previous practical /hands on experience in Agile roles (SM or PO, RTE, Development Manager or delivery Lead in Agile Environment)
  • Coaching qualifications

Non Essential Business Experience

  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Excellent facilitator
  • Development background/ Knowledgeable on modern software development practices (must-have for the Coach to help with DevOps)
  • SAFe program consultant (SPC) certified
  • Advanced Agile Coaching qualifications
  • Visual Facilitation Coach/ Certified Facilitator
  • Experience with Apptio, Target Process and AzDO, DevOps CI/CD tools
