Role Value Proposition:

The EMEA FP&A Senior Analyst works closely with the Reporting CoE team and other key stakeholders across all levels of the organization, to coordinate and support the financial forecasting and performance tracking processes of the EMEA Region.

 

This role entails the analysis, interpretation, and explanation of EMEA performance, including the distribution of executive management information packs to EMEA leaders which enable them to track performance of KPIs in alignment with MetLife’s Enterprise Strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update, review and consolidate Earnings Attribution models
  • Prepare initial commentary and analysis of actual / projection results based on Attribution model output
  • Prepare and distribute Corporate Earnings walks on monthly basis
  • Support the preparation of quarterly and yearly reporting and analysis materials as requested by the Corporate Planning team, including QFS & Earnings and Rating Agency decks
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting and analysis materials as requested by EMEA GM, EMEA CFO and Head of EMEA FP&A, including Board updates (MetLife Europe, MetLife Europe Insurance, MEUHC), SLT presentations, townhall presentations, Executive Package, Plan presentations etc.
  • Update and maintain the calendar for EMEA FP&A
  • Maintain robust controls around processes including the update of process documentation
  • Analyse, interpret, and explain the financial performance of EMEA Results
  • Prepare presentations / speaker notes for EMEA senior leaders, ensuring supporting analysis is researched appropriately and adequately documented
  • Develop and maintain robust controls around processes and ensure compliance with Risk Control Self-Assessment (“RCSA”) requirements - including the update of process documentation
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analytics as requested by Corporate & EMEA stakeholders
  • Continuous experimentation and process improvement of new & existing processes
  • Participate in projects as required (e.g. Unified Model Day 2 implementation)

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

  • 3- 5 years’ experience in financial analysis and accounting roles
  • Ability to handle and analyze large datasets from multiple sources, to provide meaningful and timely information that will drive management decisions
  • Advanced user of MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and ability to manage relationships at all levels
  • Experience with Unified Model/EPBCS tools (Oracle, SmartView) an advantage
  • Ability to prioritize work and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to identify key trends in financial data
  • Understanding of USGAAP and Local STAT accounting rules
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
