JOB PURPOSE:

As an Emiratization Manager, your role is to oversee and manage the lifecycle of the Emirati population within MetLife Gulf (United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain). You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with the company's goals and objectives. Your primary focus will be on recruiting, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. You will work closely with senior management and department heads to support the organization's overall success through effective human resources practices.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  1. Recruitment and Staffing:
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and hire qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate the entire recruitment process, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.

 

  1. Employee Relations:
  • Establish and maintain positive employee relations by promoting effective communication and addressing employee concerns.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and morale.
  • Investigate and resolve employee complaints, conflicts, and disciplinary issues.

 

  1. Performance Management:
  • Develop and administer performance management systems, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback.
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and employee development opportunities.
  • Identify and implement recognition and reward programs to motivate and retain top performers.

 

  1. Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions on various topics, including compliance, diversity, and leadership development.
  • Support career development initiatives and succession planning.

 

  1. Compensation and Benefits:
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Conduct salary surveys and benchmarking to establish competitive salary structures.
  • Administer employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

 

  1. Policy Development and Compliance:
  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Keep abreast of HR best practices and industry trends.

 

  1. HR Administration:
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics to support decision-making.
  • Oversee payroll processes and collaborate with finance department for accurate and timely payroll administration.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role in HR
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, techniques, and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of change management, talent management, HR management.
  • Sound understanding of UAE employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in HR software and MS Office applications.
