This role supports Business Leaders and Senior HRBPs to mobilize effective and forward-thinking people solutions by providing end-to-end integrated talent support and utilizing growing functional and business knowledge to tailor programs and solutions. The HR Business Partner role is future-facing: HR Business Partners are thoughtful about the organization’s future, and they assist Senior HRBPs, business leaders, and HR leaders in building the capabilities that MetLife’s talent needs today and will need in the future. They use data and insights to understand trends, uncover issues and needs, influence leaders, and support decision-making. Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Provide forward-thinking HR advice and support to leaders and HRBPs
  • Design and execute plans to support leaders on organizational design, job or role design, workforce development and other initiatives that enable strategic goals
  • Use data and insights to understand trends, uncover issues and support decision making
  • Leverage business insights and talent expertise to mobilize the right solutions for the business / market
  • Partner with HR Coordinators and all HR COE’s to achieve business and enterprise goals
  • Provide detailed advice and planning for annual compensation reviews
  • Work with business leaders and managers to implement impactful talent programs
  • Oversee large-scale talent programs and initiatives to prepare MetLife’s talent for the organization’s future
  • Partner across the organization to bring the company’s collective talent to projects and initiatives
  • Support senior HRBP on strategic people planning
  • Participate in special projects as requested

 

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience, of which you will have demonstrable experience as a strategic HR Business Partner or equivalent role. HR consulting experience would be welcome. 
  • Asia regional experience, knowledge in more than one Asian local employment laws/ regulations is essential 
  • High levels of confidentiality and emotional intelligence
  • Desire to challenge status quo and implement fresh, new ways of working
  • A natural problem-solver, motivated by achieving goals and working through challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and ability to manage and deliver on multiple competing priorities
  • Experience using HR systems to leverage data and insights
  • Credible, optimistic, and confident, committed to delivering high-quality work
  • Demonstrates learning agility and curiosity
  • Motivated by collaboration and the opportunity to work with others towards a common goal
  • Driven to continue to develop professionally at MetLife

  • Fluency in English is a must and knowledge of an additional Asian language would be advantageous
